Geschatte tijdsduur: 7 minuten, 41 seconden = ca. 71/2 a 8 minuten
Vooralsnog (de première moet nog plaatsvinden...):
Zeer provisorisch klavieruittreksel gespeeld door de componist
De naam 'Danza Capricciosa' betekent grillige dans. Het werk heeft ook een grillig, capricieus karakter.
Het is zeer vitale, bruisende muziek, en wellicht voor mijn doen wel een optimistisch stuk....
Als apart te spelen werk zou het 'Danza Fantastica' kunnen heten.
Evenals het 1e deel van de 1e dance-suite wilde ik een opwindend en snel stuk schrijven wat van begin tot eind snel en opwindend zou zijn en over zou komen als een 'dolle rit in de achtbaan' bij wijze van spreken....
Wellicht treft men er invloeden aan van het folklorisme, werken zoals 'Petrouchka' van Strawinsky of misschien de 'Dansen van Estancia' van Ginastera, of andere folkloristische orkestwerken of balletmuzieken.

The name "Danza Capricciosa" means whimsical dance. The work also has a whimsical, capricious character.
It is very vital, 'bustling' music, and perhaps an optimistic piece for my doing ....
As a separate work it could be called 'Danza Fantastica'.
Like the 1st part of the 1st Dance-suite, I wanted to write an exciting and fast piece that would be fast and exciting from start to finish and would feel like a 'crazy roller coaster ride' so to speak ....
Perhaps one finds influences from folklorism, works such as 'Petrouchka' by Strawinsky or perhaps the 'Dances of Estancia' by Ginastera, or other folkloric orchestral works or ballet music.
